Kiara Schumann-Robinson is currently the dance and yoga teacher at Valley Vista High School located in Surprise, Arizona. She graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelors in Dance Education and Certificate in Arts Entrepreneurship. She is now currently pursuing her Masters in Education with an emphasis in applied behavior analysis and teaching pedagogy to enhance her abilities as a teacher. She has been dancing for over 15 years with experience in both the competition and public school dance setting. Robinson has experience performing and teaching many dance styles including contemporary, modern, jazz, tap, ballet, hip hop, and pom. Prior to becoming a teacher, she was fortunate enough to have experienced many opportunities with AzDEO such as High School Dance Festival as a student and then Pink Tutu Flu as a student teacher. She has now experienced both events as a teacher and believes switching roles from student to teacher has helped her to realize how valuable of a resource AzDEO is to the community. She is proud to be serving as one of AzDEO’s Member at Large as well as the Publicity Committee Chair.
