Shelby Baldwin is a Southern California native who trained with top dance instructors in the Los Angeles area for 15 years. Halfway through her novice training, she began to include musical theater. She graduated from Los Osos High School in 2009. She moved to Arizona to begin her college career at Arizona State University. During her time there, she was involved in a study abroad program, which allowed her to attend New York University in Manhattan for a time, working with top professionals both at the university and in the city. She auditioned for the Rockettes, took courses through the university, and regular weekly classes at three different studios including STEPS, PDC Dance, and Broadway Dance Center. Mrs. Baldwin graduated in December 2013 with a B.F.A. in Dance Education, a B.A. in English Literature, and a minor certification in Theater. She currently works full-time as a Dance Teacher at the high school level and continues to perform professionally in various productions around the valley. The year 2024 marks her 29th year dancing and performing and her 16th year teaching. She has taught in public education for 10 years. In 2016, she married her lovely husband, Brent, and they have 2 children- Conner and Paige. She is also a cast member for Storybook Entertainment in Scottsdale and performs every weekend as different characters. Mrs. Baldwin has a passion for teaching, a passion for dance, and an ever greater passion for her students!
